I work collaboratively with people to manage conflict, settle disputes, and create solutions. I have been doing so for most if not all of the more than 25 years as a professional psychologist and mediator. As a community organizer in the Peace Corps, a consultant to an array of community and corporate organizations, a psychotherapist working with families and couples, and as a mediator, I have teamed up with well over a thousand clients to broaden perspectives, manage emotions, envision possibilities, formulate goals, as well as communicate and negotiate more effectively and confidently. I received my BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland, and my Ph.D. in Clinical-Child, School & Community Psychology from the University of Virginia. I trained in Mediation at the Colorado Bar, in Elder Mediation with Elder Decisions of Boston, as well as in Collaborative Law, Restorative Justice, and Early Neutral Evaluation. .jpg)
I have worked in Law in Denver since 1987, both as a paralegal and as a lawyer with expertise in Elder Law, Social Security Benefits, Medicare and Medicaid, Guardianships, Conservatorships, and Probate in Colorado. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communications and History and a Master of Arts in Education from Austin College. I also obtained a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma, and my Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, College of Law. I trained in Mediation and related ADR methods at the Center for Dispute Resolution in Boulder, the Colorado Bar and the DU College of Law.
